Robin Christelow, Chief Executive Officer

Robin Christelow commenced as the Chief Executive Officer in May 2018 and brings a vast amount of experience into the position. Robin is a qualified accountant and CPA who has dedicated his career to providing excellent quality care to seniors. Robin is highly regarded in the aged care industry and sat on the Board for the Salvation Army Aged Care Plus, been a committee member for LASAQ Retirement Villages and has been a selected member for Redlands Aged Care Steering Committee. 

Previously Robin was employed as the Manager of Clinical and Quality Systems with a major church organisation responsible for ensuring the provision of clinical and quality care services across 10 residential care facilities, 9 retirement villages, 11 community care programs and 5 day therapy programs.

Prior to this he was employed for 9 years as the Chief Executive Officer for Prins Willem Alexander Dutch Community Village which provides residential aged care, retirement living, Community Aged Care Packages and Department of Veteran Affairs programs.

Robin has a measured and mature approach to managing care and services. Robin's strengths are in creating and delivering exceptional quality care, services and buildings. 

 

 

Marion Mclean, Clinical Manager

Marion has been with Forest Lake Lodge since 2016. Marion has a wealth of clinical experience having trained as a nurse through both hospital and university nursing systems.

Impressively, Marion has 18 years aged care nursing experience. Marion held a very similar role as Clinical Manager with Mary Doyle Life Care, NZ for 3.5 years. This included clinical oversight of dementia specific, residential aged care, retirement village and hospital. As such, Marion is experienced with all stages of life care in both residential and hospital settings. More recently, Marion was also Facility Manager for 5 years with the highly respected Baptistcare Yallambee Village, in Mundaring, Western Australia.

Marion provides excellent clinical leadership and training to the staff of Forest Lake Lodge to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents.

 

 

 

Donna Ferguson, Assistant Clinical Manager

Donna has been with Forest Lake Lodge since 2018. Donna is a qualified Diversional Therapist, Registered Nurse and has been working in leadership and management roles for the past 7 years. Donna has extensive experience in Aged Care, specialising in leading diverse clinical teams to achieve outstanding care for residents. 

Donna also holds a Certificate III in Aged Care and a Certificate in Leadership and Management. Donna is a “hands on” manager who leads by example. She knows what is needed to deliver excellent quality care and lifestyle and demonstrates this through how she manages her team. 

Donna is passionate about the delivery of high quality care to our residents and enjoys having fun in everything she does at work, believing that laughter makes everyone feel better. Donna is also interested in learning more of the management expectations to one day lead the team as a facility manager.

 

Marichelle Palmea, Assistant Clinical Manager

Marichelle is a qualified Registered Nurse and also holds a degree in accounting. Marichelle joined Forest Lake Lodge in February 2017.

Marichelle is multilingual, speaking English, Filipino and some Cantonese. 

 
 
 
 

Deborah Pitman, General Services Manager

Deb comes to us from Sodexo and has had an esteemed career being responsible for all the general services (catering, cleaning, laundry, security, retail & bar, WHS and maintenance) of Rio Tinto mine sites through WA and Queensland as well operational management of several aged care facilities throughout the Northern Territory & Queensland, with the most recent being Prins Willem Alexander Dutch Community Village.

Throughout her career, Deb has managed multiple large teams of staff and transformed the operations of organizations to deliver new and better services. She is extremely proud of her food, operational and lifestyle services and has been successful in attracting 5 star chefs to Forest Lake Lodge. 

 
 
 

Kyle Hope, Finance Manager

Kyle migrated from South Africa to Australia in 2005. He has completed a Bachelor of Commerce and has been with Forest Lake Lodge since 2011. As Finance Manager, Kyle is responsible for resident billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and review of CAPS, which exceeds $10 million annually.

Kyle is also responsible for facility Prudential reporting, he ensures that the Liquidity Standard, the Records Standard, the Governance Standard and the Disclosure Standard are in accordance with legislative requirements under Legislative reference – ss 57-3 and 57-4, Aged Care Act 1997, Division 3, User Rights Principles 1997.

Kyle is fluent in aged care finance is available to help families and residents with understanding their financial responsibilities.

Dr Sidney Lau – Company Director and Owner
Bachelor of Medicine

Sid has practiced as an Australian General Practitioner for over 40 years and currently owns/maintains a busy Medicare funded acupuncture clinic in Indooroopilly Shoppingtown. Sid has personally grown FLL from a 65-bed nursing home when he acquired it in 1988 to the 135-bed establishment. He has assumed a role of mentorship and oversight from 2012. In addition, he is also the owner and licensee of the Gap Cubbyhouse childcare centre.
 

Sue Lord – Company Director and Owner (Lollies)
Masters of Sustainable Business (Hons) Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors

Prior to working with Lollies, Sue has a background in operational management and grant writing in the university research sector. Sue has been with the organisation since 2012 and is now an Executive Board member and responsible for working through the CEO to achieve the goals of the organisation. Having played multiple roles with FLL she has an intimate understanding of the organisations day-to-day functions, broader strategy and governance. Sue’s oversight has seen the expansion of FLL from 125 beds to its current capacity of 151 beds as well as complete organisational restructure and introduction of many novel concepts. These changes have seen FLL grow to be the organisation it is is today.
 

Sue-Ling Lau – Company Director and Owner (Dollies)
Masters of Business Administration

Sue-Ling has 13 years’ experience as a qualified Mining Engineer, both on site and in corporate offices. Sue-Ling Lau oversees the Gap Cubbyhouse, a 98 place child care. Sue-Ling has overseen the strategic and day-to-day operations of the organisation since 2012 and has introduced the highly regarded learning based Montessori style of care to the Gap Cubbyhouse. She brings expertise in business, management and technical skills to the team.
