VISITING

New requirement for visitors – as from 1st July 2022

Residential aged care facilities remain under the Queensland Health Emergency direction. This has been revised as follows:

Vaccination requirements update

From 1am AEST Thursday 30 June 2022, there will be no COVID-19 vaccination requirement for someone visiting residential aged care facilities.

However, COVID-19 vaccination requirements will continue to be in place for workers at these healthcare settings. The operator of the healthcare setting must continue to comply with the COVID-19 vaccination requirements for healthcare workers.

Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times while on the site. These will be provided at reception.

There is also no visiting restrictions in place at present. Visitors are however required to check in using the ZIPLINE system at reception, and undertake a RAT if visiting inside the buildings or taking a resident out.

At present visiting is preferred between 08.30 and 17.00 as these are the times where staff are present at reception. Visitors to Central and Memory Retreat – park your car and walk up to the Central reception. Visitors to Jenny Mulley – drive up to the top driveway, park your car and proceed to reception.

All visitors undertake a screening process through ZIPLINE for each visit.

Information on the Zipline system can be found here - Visitor Check-In and Check-Out using TP10 Device

You will find the Zipline device at each Reception, walk up to it and it will take your temperature automatically. Once your mobile number is registered in the system after the first time it will be remembered in the system. Once all screening questions are answered a label will print to be worn to alert staff that screening has been completed.

INROOM visiting – a RAT must be completed. This is provided on entry and once a negative result has been received, screening can then be completed through Zipline.

RAT testing is not required if the visit is taking place outside.

The best method for recording the RAT result is to leave the cannister in the plastic bag and hold this up to the camera when prompted to take a photo.
